Jewellery - Hand Made in New Zealand
All the Jewellery on this site is hand-made by myself, Lynda Gorman. The sea glass and sea-washed pottery used is all collected from New Zealand beaches. ( A great way to maintain balance in my life!) Collecting sea glass is almost like a meditation for me, I get so deeply engrossed in the search.
Each piece of sea (or beach glass) is carefully considered prior to being made into jewellery. Colour, size, shape, frosting and colour are all evaluated - I then 'intuit' what will be the best way to work with and present each piece.
The rarity of the sea glass influences price. Some colours are so rare, espeically here in New Zealand, that they are almost impossible to find. Its a lucky day indeed if I find a large, perfect piece in a rare colour!
I enjoy working with a variety of mediums, resin, wire wrapping, and also working with stone and other organic materials.
